Cell phone, wallet taken during simple robbery incident on Bourbon Street

New Orleans Police have asked for public assistance in locating a person who they attacked and robbed a man on Bourbon Street Wednesday.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m., in the 800 block of Bourbon Street, where an individual (pictured below) attacked the male victim before taking his wallet and keys, according to New Orleans Police, who also believe the suspect may still be in possession of the stolen items.

This person is wanted suspicion of a July 21 robbery on Bourbon Street, according to NOPD.

Victim sustains graze wound in shooting on Dauphine Street

A male victim sustained a non-life-threatening graze wound in a shooting that occurred on Dauphine Street early Thursday morning.

The shooting was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Dauphine Street, according to New Orleans Police.

A tweet by the NOPD stated the victim may have been grazed by a bullet and refused emergency medical services at the scene.

New Orleans Police detectives are investigating the shooting. No further information was available.

A female was injured in a shooting near the intersection of Toulouse and Bourbon streets on Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred at about 4:30 a.m., according to New Orleans Police. Several gunshots were heard near the intersection.

The injured female was transported to a nearby hospital via private conveyance, according to New Orleans Police.

Police are investigating the shooting. No suspects were identified or arrested.

Person wanted for questioning in Bourbon Street simple robbery investigation

New Orleans Police are investigating a simple robbery that occurred on Bourbon Street earlier this month and seeking a person who is wanted for questioning in connection to the incident.

The incident occurred July 3 at about 1:30 a.m. at an unknown location on Bourbon Street, according New Orleans Police.

The victim was allegedly thrown to the ground and his cellphone, wallet, and Apple watch taken by an unknown male individual.

Security cameras captured the pictured subject accompanying the victim off a side street after casually approaching him and they did not have prior contact before the observed encounter, according to New Orleans Police.

Alleged Arsonist Strikes Rouses

On July 6th about 10:30 a.m. at the Rouses grocery store located at the intersection of Royal and St. Peters street in the French Quarter, a suspected intentional fire was set in the paper towel section of the grocery store, according to the New Orleans Police Department. A quick thinking customer who spotted the fire shortly after it was set doused the flames with a jug of water. There were no reported injuries and damage was minimal.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office are seeking a person of interest in connection with the suspicious blaze. The man being sought is described as wearing a black backpack over a white t-shirt with “New Orleans” written on the front, with blue jeans and a dark hat. Last seen walking down Royal Street heading towards Esplanade.

Anybody who is willing to snitch on the man’s identity and location could be eligible for a cash reward. If you have any information about the person of interest you can make a few bucks by dropping a dime on him to the State Fire Marshal’s arson hotline at 1-844-954-1221.
