A Esplanade Avenue bar closed Monday evening after a fire was reported at the location, according to New Orleans officials.
The incident was reported at about 10:40 p.m. at Checkpoint Charlie, located at 501 Esplanade Ave., according to New Orleans Fire Department officials.
Checkpoint Charlie is located directly across the street from NOFD Station 9 at 449 Esplanade Ave. The bar closed shortly after the fire was reported.
An fire investigator was on site Tuesday morning collecting evidence, according to the NOFD.
