The annual Mother’s Day picnic held in Cabrini Park on Dauphine Street will be held Sunday after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In its 23rd year, the Mother’s Day Concert and Picnic, organized by the Vieux Carre, Property Owners, Residents and Associates will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the park, located at 1219 Dauphine Street in the French Quarter.

The picnic is open to the public. Additionally, the park will be closed on Sunday in order to clean and set up for the event.

Those who attended are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and their dancing shoes. The picnic also happens to coincide with International Families Day.

Festivities include American revivalist ensemble New Leviathan Oriental Foxtrot Orchestra, face painting and more. Pets are not allowed.
