Florida woman arrested after 2 teenagers shot on Bourbon Street

A Florida woman was arrested Saturday night after a shooting that injured two teenagers on Bourbon Street.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting that occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Bourbon Street, according to New Orleans Police.

Upon arrival on scene, officers learned that a female, later identified as 27-year-old Jasmine Evans, of Jacksonville, allegedly fired a gun multiple times and struck two teenage male victims.

One victim was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance, while the second victim arrived by private vehicle.

Through an investigation, Eighth District detectives located Evans near the scene and identified her as the shooter, and who was in possession of a handgun, according to New Orleans Police.

Evans was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on suspicion of two counts of aggravated-second degree battery. Bail information was not immediately available.
