Volunteers are needed to help lend their time cleaning up a portion of Esplanade on the edge of the French Quarter and Marigny neighborhoods Saturday.

The Faubourg Marigny Improvement Association and The Vieux Carre Property Owners, Residents and Associates invite residents on both sides of Esplanade Avenue to gather in the 700 block at 12 p.m. to help pick up trash, prune vegetation and rake and bag leaves.

Those who attend are asked to bring gloves, extra tools (if you have them) and to wear a mask. The event will end at about 4 p.m.

Drinks and supplies will be provided by several local organizations and businesses, including Clean Up Nola, French Quarter Realty and Grande Krewe Fine Wine and Spirits will be available on site.
