Lake Charles woman sought in connection to Carondelet Street armed robbery; second suspect arrested

New Orleans Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a Lake Charles woman wanted in connection to an armed robbery that occurred last month on Carondelet Street.

Ardecia Jones, 34, of Lake Charles was identified as one of the suspects in an armed robbery that involved two victims and occurred in the 100 block of Carondelet Street Oct. 16, according to New Orleans Police.

The victims were beaten and robbed of their longings by a group of male and female suspects. One of the victims identified Jones, who allegedly pointed a handgun at the victims during the incident.

Jones is believed to be displaced to New Orleans and may have returned to Lake Charles after the robbery, according to New Orleans Police.

A second suspect, identified as 20-year-old Arielle Brignac, was arrested Oct. 22 in connection to the incident.

Jones, and several other unidentified suspects, remain at large and the investigation remains active, according to New Orleans Police.
