French Quarter bars and restaurants continue to reopen after closing for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Boondock Saint, located at 731 St. Peter St., originally planned to reopen on Oct. 30 for to-go drinks, but that date was moved to noon on Friday, Nov. 6 due to Hurricane Zeta.

Restaurant R’evolution, located 777 Bienville St. inside the the Royal Sonesta Hotel, reopened on Oct. 22.

The owners of Meauxbar, which was located at 942 N. Rampart St., announced last month the restaurant closed permanently due to the shutdowns that came as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

New Orleans is currently in “Phase 3.2” of reopening, which allows outdoor seating for bars. Indoor seating isn’t allowed yet for bars, although some bars have converted into restaurants after receiving state licenses in order to offer indoor dining.
