NOPD: Suspects punch victim, snatch pill bottle in Canal Street simple robbery

New Orleans Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly struck a victim and took their pill bottle in a simple robbery that occurred near Baronne and Canal Streets last week.

The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. on Aug. 25 when the suspects, pictured above, struck the victim in the face and snatched the bottle of pills from their left hand, according to New Orleans Police.

The suspects fled the scene on foot down Canal Street towards Carondelet Street, where they were able to get into a light brown Nissan Sentra and drove away.

The Sentra was reported with damage to the front driver’s side headlight and fender area, and to the back passenger side bumper, according to New Orleans Police.
