
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is seeking assistance from the public identifying and locating a suspect allegedly involved in the theft of Jeep on Iberville St. on September 12.
According to the NOPD, the alleged theft occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. when the suspect reportedly approached the unoccupied valet booth in the 800 block of Iberville St. and removed a set of keys belonging to a silver Jeep Rubicon parked in front of the location. The suspect drove off with the vehicle heading south on Iberville, according to the NOPD.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., the pictured subject reportedly approached the unoccupied valet booth in the 800 block of Iberville Street. The subject then allegedly opened the door to the podium and pulled out a set of keys, and found the keys were for a Jeep Rubicon parked in front of the location. The subject then entered the vehicle and fled south on Iberville, then unknown.
The vehicle is registered out of Texas with the license plate LRX0631.
The NOPD released a surveillance camera still of the alleged suspect, pictured above.
