Actor and comedian Andy Dick was sucker punched outside One Eyed Jacks on Toulouse Street Saturday morning, according to a report by The Times-Picayune | The New Orleans Advocate.
Dick and guitarist-singer Paris Dylan stepped outside to pose for photos with fans following the show. As Dick stepped into an Uber, he was blindsided with a punch, the newspaper reported. Dick hit his head on a parked motorcycle then struck his head on the pavement and lost consciousness for about 15 minutes, according to the newspaper. The incident reportedly happened at about 2:20 a.m. in the 600 block of Toulouse St.
The 53-year-old Dick was transported to the hospital where the was monitored for what the artist described to the newspaper as a “possible brain bleed.”
According to the newspaper, the attacker got away and hasn’t been identified. New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is investigating the incident.
