Suspect arrested in Bourbon Street auto burglary

A New Orleans man was arrested in connection to a Bourbon Street auto burglary on Sunday after he was detained by the victim, according police.

Police arrested Devin Lafrance, 24, who is accused of committing an auto burglary at about 7 a.m. in the 300 block of Bourbon Street, according to New Orleans Police.

The victim detained Lafrance until the arrival of police, who arrested and transported him to the Orleans Parish Justice Center on auto burglary charges.

4 sought for questioning in Canal Street hotel room theft

New Orleans Police are seeking to question four individuals, including three woman, wanted in connection to an alleged Canal Street hotel room theft on May 23.

The theft occurred in the 500 block of Canal Street after the victim and his friend met three unknown black females while on Bourbon Street and brought them back to their hotel room, according to New Orleans Police.

While in the room, the females allegedly stole property valued at more than $5,500 and fled the hotel.

One of the females wanted for questioning in an alleged hotel room theft in the 500 block of Canal Street.

The females, pictured above, aren’t wanted as suspects although detectives feel they may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation, according to New Orleans Police.

Additionally, the black females were observed talking with an unknown white male (pictured above) who detectives also feel may have information concerning the incident and wish to question him.

Suspect wanted in connection to French Quarter wallet snatching

New Orleans Police are seeking the identity of a suspect wanted in connection to a property snatching incident that occurred near the intersection of St. Louis and Burgundy streets on Sunday.

The incident occurred at about 4 a.m. when the suspect (pictured above) snatched a wallet from the victim’s hand as they engaged in a conversation and fled the scene on foot, according to New Orleans Police.

Man suspected of illegally concealing gun inside boot after NOPD detains him for fighting on Bourbon Street

A man was arrested on suspicion of illegally carrying a gun inside his boot Wednesday after he was initially detained for fighting on Bourbon Street, according to New Orleans Police officials.

New Orleans Police responded to a location in the 400 block of Bourbon Street shortly after 2:45 a.m. and arrested Timothy David, 25, on suspicion of disturbing the peace by fighting, officials said.

During a search of David after the arrest, officers allegedly found a concealed handgun with five rounds of ammunition.

David didn’t possess a concealed carry permit at the time, New Orleans Police said.

David was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and booked on suspicion of illegally carrying a firearm and disturbing the peace.
