Two women sustained gunshot injuries Sunday in an early morning shooting on Bourbon Street, according to New Orleans Police.
The shooting occurred at about 12:13 a.m. in the 500 block of Bourbon Street, when the two victims reported hearing gunshots, according to the NOPD’s major offense log.
Police officials said both victims, aged 28 and 54, sustained gunshot wounds. One was treated at the scene and the other victim was transported to a local hospital, according to the NOPD.
The suspected shooter was described as a Black male, who the police didn’t identify.
