New Orleans Police are searching for two alleged suspects in a stolen Volkswagen Bug who robbed two victims with a gun near Governor Nicholls and Bourbon streets earlier this month.
The incident was reported at about 12:32 a.m. on Oct. 4, when two victims were robbed by the two suspects in a black 2018 VW Bug near the intersection, and then fled the scene, according to NOPD.
Eighth District police said the VW Bug was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Royal Street on Sept. 16. The vehicle is registered in Louisiana with a license plate number of 544EBN and its identification number is 3VW5DAAT0JM515839, police said.
The victims weren’t identified and the identities of the suspects weren’t immediately determined, according to the NOPD.
Police added that they are unsure if the license plate is still attached and if the vehicle is located, to use caution because the occupants may be armed.
Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Eighth District station and detective Mike Lane at 504-658-6080.
