Street parking will be restricted starting on Friday along several French Quarter Streets in order to allow Danni Productions LLC to film scenes for an upcoming TV series, according to Film New Orleans.
Several street closures and parking restrictions will begin early Friday morning and extend into Saturday, and then on Monday extending into Tuesday.
No street parking will be allowed starting at 3 a.m. on Friday and will extend until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, in the 700 blocks of Saint Ann and Royal streets, where preparation, filming and wrap-up work will occur.
From about 3 a.m on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday, no parking will be allowed in portions of the 700 block of Bourbon and Saint Ann streets.
Then, from about 3 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday, no parking will be allowed in the 700 block of Orleans Street.
No street parking will be allowed on both sides of the 1400 block of Burgundy Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday to allow preparation work.
From 4 p.m. on Friday until 4 a.m. on Saturday, no parking will be allowed in the 800 blocks of Chartres and Decatur streets, and the 500 block of Saint Ann Street, where preparation, filming and wrap-up work will occur.
From about 11 p.m. on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday, no parking will be allowed in portions of the 500 and 600 blocks of Dumaine Street, and the 600 block of Saint Ann Street to allow filming and wrap-up.
Additionally, film crews on Friday will close two more blocks and put intermittent traffic controls in place on anther block.
The street closures include the 700 block of Orleans Street between 6-11 p.m. and the 800 block of Chartres Street, in between Dumaine and Madison streets only, between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.
Intermittent traffic controls be will in place from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. near the intersection of Saint Ann and Royal streets.
Parking will be restricted on several blocks to allow filming on Monday, Oct. 3, Tuesday, Oct. 4. and Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Starting at 4 a.m. Monday until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, no parking will be allowed on both sides of the 1400 block of Burgundy Street to allow preparation, filming and wrap-up work.
At 4 a.m. on Monday, until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, no parking will be allowed along the downtown side of the 1000 block of Esplanade Avenue and one-half of the Uptown side of the 1000 block of Esplanade Avenue, and one-half of both sides of the 900 block of Esplanade Avenue.
Parking will be prohibited from 4 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Monday along the Uptown side of the 1000 block of Kerlerec and the river side of the 1400 block of North Rampart Street, where filming will occur.
From 8 p.m. on Monday, until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, no parking will be allowed in the 1300 block of Burgundy Street and the 900 to 1000 blocks of Barracks Street.
Temporary street closures include the 1400 block of Burgundy Street from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and the 1300 block of Burgundy Street from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Intermittent traffic controls will be in place between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday at the intersections of Esplanade Avenue and Dauphine Street, and Esplanade Avenue and North Rampart Street.
In addition, intermittent traffic controls will be in place between 9 am. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersections of Burgundy and Kerlerec streets, Esplanade Avenue and Dauphine Street, Esplanade Avenue and North Rampart Street, Barracks and Dauphine streets, and Burgundy and Barracks streets.
Officials said filming will be conducted with the knowledge and cooperation of the Orleans Parish Film Office, and under the supervision of the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, which will provide security throughout the process.
Crew parking and base camp will be near the filming locations, and situated in private lots to minimize impact to the neighborhood. All driveways and handicap zones will be respected, according to Danni Productions.
Anyone with concerns over special parking needs, loud construction work or large scheduled deliveries on the days of filming is asked to contact crews in advance.
