New Orleans Police arrested four people on suspicion of guns and drugs charges in separate incidents along Bourbon Street last month.
In addition to the arrests, New Orleans Police seized handguns in connection to four incidents between July 21 and July 28.
The first incident occurred on July 21, when New Orleans Police officers arrested Joe L. Jones on suspicion of aggravated assault in the 700 block Bourbon Street.
The assault allegedly occurred at at earlier data near the intersection of St. Ann and Decatur streets. When Jones was arrested, he was in possession of marijuana and a .38 caliber handgun, according to New Orleans Police.
The second incident occurred in the 200 block of Bourbon Street on July 24, when Andrew Wilson, of Alabama, was allegedly in possession of a 9-millimeter handgun and powdered cocaine.
The third incident occurred on July 25 in the 200 block of Bourbon Street, where Calvin Ingram, of Alabama, was arrested after he entered an alcoholic beverage operator-licensed establishment with a loaded Glock 43, or a 9-millieter handgun, according to New Orleans Police. Ingram was allegedly in possession of marijuana when was arrested.
Then on July 28, in the 500 block of Bourbon St., officers arrested Jody Allemand, of Marrero, after he entered an alcoholic-beverage licensed establishment and dropped a loaded Glock 9-millimeter handgun on the floor, according to New Orleans Police.
