2 sought in French Quarter business burglaries, NOPD says

Two men suspected of burglarizing French Quarter businesses over the past two months are being sought by police, who are now seeking help from the public in locating the individuals, according to New Orleans officials on Monday.

New Orleans Police are seeking help locating 30-year-old Donald Delaune, who detectives identified as the perpetrator following an investigation into the alleged burglaries that occurred in August and September. The burglaries occurred in the 600 block of Pirate’s Alley, the 1100 block of Chartres Street and in the 400 block of Andrew Higgins Drive, according to the NOPD.

Officials said Delaune was seen with an unidentified White male in surveillance video footage, which was also provided by police on Monday.

Couple sought in connection to alleged simple robbery near Bourbon, Canal streets

New Orleans Police are seeking two people who are wanted for questioning in connection to a simple robbery and fraud that occurred near the intersection of Canal and Bourbon streets earlier this month, officials said.

The incident occurred on Sept. 9, where NOPD officials said the simple robbery and fraud occurred. While the couple isn’t wanted for the robbery, NOPD officials said they are wanted for alleged access device fraud.

On Monday, New Orleans Police released surveillance camera footage of the couple and the alleged vehicle in which they fled the scene.

Suspect who fled Barracks Street simple robbery on red bike sought by police, NOPD says

New Orleans Police investigating a Barracks Street simple robbery that occurred last week said they are seeking a suspect who fled the scene on a red bicycle.

The incident occurred Sept. 18 in the 1100 block of Barracks Street, where victims reported being confronted by a suspect who demanded their property before fleeing the scene, according to the NOPD.

NOPD investigating stabbing death near old U.S. Mint on Decatur Street

New Orleans Police said detectives are investigating an incident in which two men were stabbed, one fatally, on Monday along Decatur Street, near the old U.S. Mint building.

The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. in the 1300 block of Decatur Street, where officers were called to respond to a stabbing and upon arrival, located two male victims who sustained stab wounds, one of whom emergency medical technicians pronounced dead at the scene, according to the NOPD.

Police said the second male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives with the NOPD’s Homicide Section are in the process of gathering information to identify a perpetrator and their motive, police said.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and cause of death once an autopsy is complete and family has been notified, according to the NOPD.
