New Orleans Police are seeking two people who are wanted for questioning in connection to a simple robbery and fraud that occurred near the intersection of Canal and Bourbon streets earlier this month, officials said.

The incident occurred on Sept. 9, where NOPD officials said the simple robbery and fraud occurred. While the couple isn’t wanted for the robbery, NOPD officials said they are wanted for alleged access device fraud.

On Monday, New Orleans Police released surveillance camera footage of the couple and the alleged vehicle in which they fled the scene.

Anyone with information on the identities or whereabouts of the couple pictured above, or on the incident, is urged to contact NOPD detectives at 504-658-6080 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

B Mac’s French Quarter Bar & Courtyard has brought its cook-off challenge back, but this time the contest spans the football season.

Instead of having only one cook-off challenge, B Macs announced last month that it will be having one cook-off challenge per month. The first challenge was a red beans cook-off on Sept. 18, but there’s three more you can still participate in.

The next event is is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. with a chili cook-off, followed by a gumbo cook-off on Sunday, Nov. 12 and a Christmas side dish cook-off on Dec. 21.

To participate, all contestants are required to sign up no later than seven days before each event. Winners are announced at halftime for each Saints game.

For more information, call 504-252-2026 or email miamatassa.bmacs@gmail.com.

B Macs is located at 819 St. Louis St. in the French Quarter.

Dishes will be judged 30 minutes before Cook-off (except for Christmas side dish) and winners will be announced at halftime.

The Vieux Carre Property Owners, Residents and Associates organization is gathering information from the community on the North Rampart Street corridor in an effort to make the road safer.

Specifically, VCPORA is encouraging people who utilize the street, including pedestrians and cyclists, to take the survey.

Responses to the survey, called the “North Rampart Street Traffic Calming & Infrastructure Improvement Survey,” are due Oct. 4. VCPORA said the responses will be shared with city leaders.

A link to the North Rampart Street survey can be found here. For more information, visit vcpora.org or email info@vcpora.org.
