NOPD arrests man after locating loaded ‘ghost gun’ near Bourbon, Conti streets

New Orleans Police said they arrested a man on suspicion of illegally carrying a “ghost gun” in his waistband near the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets on Halloween night.

Officers stationed near the intersection on Oct. 31 observed Eric Dwayne Davis Jr. with the gun in his waistband, the NOPD said.

Following his arrest, the NOPD said the gun in his waistband was loaded with a 30-round extended magazine and with an additional round in the chamber.

Police referred to the firearm as a ghost gun because it did not contain a serial number.
