The 700 Club, formerly located on the corner of Burgundy and St. Peter streets, is opening a location on the edge of the French Quarter before the end of the year.
American Townhouse, located at 1012 N. Rampart St., is slated to open in the winter of 2020, according to an announcement on the club’s social media page Monday.
The club, which will be located two doors down from the WWL building, will be a restaurant, bar, and event space with a “big, beautiful courtyard,” according to the club.
The building is a Greek Revival-style American townhouse and was constructed in 1856. The Vieux Carre Commission rated the building “green,” which means it has local architectural or historical significance.
