New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and city health officials will hold a virtual town hall meeting Monday, Dec. 21 to discuss information relating to the COVID-19, including distribution and timelines.

The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., CST and will include a question-and-answer session by Cantrell; Dr. Jennifer Avengo, Health Department Director; and local community health specialist, Dr. Eric Griggs.

The panel will provide information on eligibility for the vaccine and will also address misinformation.

To join the meeting, dial 415-655-0001. The meeting ID number is 146 803 9832.

Participants can also join the meeting via WebEx at this link.

Questions to the panel can be sent by dialing 504-470-0740.

Louisiana health officials announced earlier this month that they expected to receive up to 39,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
